About me

Hi, my name is Sarah – or Sarah B! – and I’m a personal trainer based in Fuseta, in the Eastern Algarve. I’m originally from South East England and moved to Portugal with my husband, Paul, in December 2024, after spending 15 years living in Vietnam.

I work in branding and communications and have done throughout my career. I began at Unilever, moved into agency roles in London, and later launched my own business in Vietnam. Alongside that, fitness has been a consistent part of my life since my 20s – mostly as a dedicated gymgoer (from backyard set-ups to high-tech chains), but also as a runner (briefly, in my 20s and 40s), and a long-time Les Mills enthusiast.

During COVID-19, while doing daily Les Mills workouts in my home gym, I began seriously considering becoming an instructor. I loved how the sessions made me feel and I wanted to help others experience the same benefits. That spark grew into the bigger ambition of becoming a personal trainer.

The more I explored it – and the more I heard from friends who were desperate for a trainer on their wavelength – the stronger that passion became. So, I signed up with Study Active* and officially qualified in 2025 with a Level 3 personal training qualification. My qualification allows me to train clients on a one-to-one basis, design personalised fitness programs, conduct fitness assessments, provide nutritional advice and lead fitness classes.

My goal is to inspire people to embrace fitness and good nutrition and to help them achieve their personal goals, from overall health and fitness to running a 10k or building the strength to paddleboard, for example!
